Let's start from the beginning, ASICS was established by a person called Kihachiro Onitsuka in 1949 to nurture youth and society through sports. The initial philosophy was "ANIMA SANA IN CORPORE SANO" focusing on a "healthy mind and body." The name later changed to ASICS, derived from Latin phrase "Anima San In Corpore Sano" ("You should pray for a healthy mind in a healthy body"), a quote from the Roman satirist Juvenal. 

You may wonder why the ASICS logo looks like the Onitsukas Tiger and this because the three companies: Onitsuka Co., GTO Co. and JELENK Co. - joined together producing ASICS. Now ASICS will 'continue to embody the legacy Onitsuka left behind.'

What is ASICS Known for?

ASICS is best known for its sneakers, but also produces other footwear such as sandals, swimwear, compression garments, other clothing and accessories. However, they've evolved over the years by gaining popularity in the last two years, due to its evolution in footwear.

What makes ASICS So Special?

ASICS advanced technology such as Gel Technology - which helps with athletes to handle impacts and twists. The Flyteform Technology helps shoe to be lightweight and Duomax Technology helps with stability due to the dual density. Overall this is what drives ASICS audience and their competitors customers attention.  

Did ASICS participate in the Fashion Week? 

No, but ASICS did Host Paris Fashion Week by doing a Pop-Up Showcase for their Upcoming Collaborations. Fashion Designer Cecilia Bahnsen brings out the first ever women's Gel-Quantum 360 VIII, completely re-imagining the shoe as a sandal, in addition this will give ASICS a new audience and more clientele.
